Did you know your newborn baby is already developing important motor skills starting from birth? Learn what early motor development is all about during the first three months of your baby’s life.

The first three months of your baby’s life can feel like a blur of blissful moments and some sleepless nights – but there’s a lot of motor development taking place during this stage!

This can include:

  • Lifting head when placed on stomach during carefully supervised “tummy time.”

  • Kicking legs and moving arms.

  • Turning head to follow moving objects and sounds.

QUICK TIP: Gross and fine motor skills develop as your baby grows – and all children develop at their own rate. If you're concerned about your baby’s development, talk to your pediatrician or family doctor.
