Motor development includes big and small movements as well as the body’s senses. When a baby shakes a rattle or balances on his own two feet, brain connections form and tell certain parts of the body to work together to make those movements happen. These are called fine motor, gross motor, and sensory skills — and they all make up an important part of your child’s development.
